Guest Book

I stayed at the forest homes on the May weekend with a group of walkers from Galway. We were here for the Ballyhoura walking festival. I had never been here before. I have to say it is a hidden jewel, which is as nice as any part of Ireland. The homes were very comfortable, the setting tranquil and beautiful. I would recommend them to anybody for comfort and value. The towns around are well worth a visit.
Thank You.

Ita is a wonderful lady! Although we were not technically staying in one of the holiday homes she represents, she nevertheless ensured that we were safe and warm until our hosts arrived (2 and a half hours later!). I am delighted to read so many glowing comments about her - she really is a treasure, and has clearly made a huge impact on many holiday makers. Thanks again, Ita! :)

Thank you Ita for your hospitality to a weary walker who crossed your path on a wet Saturday afternoon at the end of June. Rain does not take from the beauty of the setting or the warmth of your welcome. The coffee was great too.

We (6) stayed in the Ballyhoura Forest Holiday Homes for the Ballyhoura Walking Festival and we will be back - great walks with the Ballyhoura way literally on the doorstep and waymarked walks in every direction. The houses are very comfortable with everything you could want. Even though we were in the lovely forest it was still only a five minute walk to the Pub. We visited the food festival in Kilmallock and enjoyed the sausages, cheese and jam. See you soon Ita. Regards, Catherine

We recently had a fortnight's holiday at the Ballyhoura Forest Holiday Homes. It was our 2nd stay there. The forest around the houses is perfect for cycling, walking and running. There's lots to do for kids. Our 9 year old took his bike, played in the forest, made dens, went to the wooden adventure playground & zip wire, played football on the nearby pitch, and generally spent almost the entire holiday out of doors.

The houses themselves are spacious, clean and with a traditional Irish peat fire, very warm.

Ita was always on hand to help with any queries, and to offer local tourist advice, and is a great advert for Trident.

As it was our 2nd stay there, we re-visited some of the places we'd enjoyed previously. Clonmel, Limerick, Tipperary and Cork are all within easy travelling distance, but the beautiful scenery on the doorstep, meant that most of our time was spent exploring locally.

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR GREAT COMMENTS - WE LOOK FORWARD TO WELCOMING YOU BACK AGAIN SOON. Ballyhoura Forest Holiday Homes.

I was staying with a few friends over the weekend. We had a great time and the house was totally comfortable. We are definitely coming back for another weekend!
Thank you very much!

From the sound of silence, of the birds and of the cows into our very comfortable roomy home in the woods to the exhileration of the mountain biking and and zip wire, to mixing with the locals at the Patrick's Day parade and in the Village Inn, we all had a great holiday. Will be back.

This is a great base for mountain bikers - very short drive to the Ballyhoura trail head.
6 of us came down for a long weekend - less than 2.5 hours from Dublin. Great big living area, a big hall with loads of space for all the gear and good sized bedrooms.

Ita was very helpful and friendly.

Highly recommended.

We would definately recommend these cottages. The location in the trees is lovely but not isolated. The mountain bike trails are nearby and the countryside around is great for walking too, The houses are very comfortable and Ita the superviser is a great asset to the place. We will return I hope.

Our group of 29 rented 5 cabins for a 3 night weekend in August 2010.

We were very pleasantly surprised at the quality, layout and equipment in the chalets.

Ita Kiely was very welcoming, helpful and efficient. She helped make our stay relaxing and enjoyable.

It is an ideal venue for families or grouops.
